Kansas City Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar escaped serious injury Friday night after getting hit in the left elbow by a pitch.
Detroit Tigers reliever Neftali Feliz drilled the All-Star in the 10th inning, but X-rays came back negative on Escobar's non-throwing elbow.
Escobar, who entered the game hitting .254/.290/.314 with 71 runs scored, is considered day to day and shouldn't miss significant time with the injury.
