With baseball's July 31 non-waiver trade deadline now just 10 days away, rumors continue to swirl around teams hoping to acquire an impact player who can help them extend their season.

Here are the latest rumors from around the league:

  • Philadelphia Phillies pitcher and potential trade target Cliff Lee made his return from the disabled list Monday night against visiting San Francisco, but was tagged for six runs on 12 hits over 5 2/3 innings. The Giants weren't the only out-of-town team represented

  • The Boston Red Sox "might listen" on reliever Koji Uehara if they plummet out of the American League East race - but at the moment, the opposite is happening. The Red Sox trampled Toronto 14-1 Monday for their fifth consecutive win.
  • With the Miami Marlins continuing to fall down the standings, closer Steve Cishek's name has come up more frequently in trade talks. The Marlins are are 8 1/2 games back at 45-52 and the odds of them becoming sellers at the deadline are increasing with each loss.
  • One relief pitcher who doesn't seem to be generating much interest on the trade market is Jim Johnson of the Oakland Athletics. Johnson has struggled this season and while Oakland would like to find a new home for him, it seems like that may be a difficult task.
