Guardians win 10th straight, move into wild-card spot
The Cleveland Guardians won their 10th straight game Saturday and moved into a wild-card position in the American League after the Houston Astros lost to the Seattle Mariners.
The Guardians would be the sixth seed in the AL if the season were to end today as they own the tiebreaker over Houston.

Cleveland took both contests of a doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins to continue its winning streak, which also moved the club within one game of the Detroit Tigers for the top spot in the AL Central.
The Guardians outscored the Twins 14-0 in the doubleheader, and they've allowed just three runs over their last five games.
No CLE starter has allowed more than two runs in a game since Sept. 4. The team has a 1.30 ERA in that span.

Bo Naylor was the star of Game 1 for the Guardians, hitting two home runs against the Twins during a 6-0 win. Steven Kwan and Gabriel Arias combined for six RBIs during an 8-0 victory in Game 2.
José Ramírez also became the third Cleveland player with three 30-30 seasons on Saturday.

The Guardians entered September 10.5 games behind the Tigers for the AL Central lead but have gone 16-4 in September to close the gap.
If Cleveland overtakes the Tigers, it would win back-to-back division titles for the first time since claiming three straight from 2016-18.
