Brewers promote highly touted prospect Sal Frelick
The Milwaukee Brewers promoted outfield prospect Sal Frelick to the major leagues Saturday, the team announced.
Frelick is ranked as the No. 17 prospect in baseball, according to MLB Pipeline, which lists the 23-year-old as the second-best farmhand in the Brewers' system behind Jackson Chourio.

The first-round selection from the 2021 draft was hitting .247/.333/.342 with 18 RBIs and eight steals at Triple-A before getting promoted.
Frelick is the eighth player to make this MLB debut this season for the Brewers, joining Brice Turang, Gus Varland, Joey Wiemer, Blake Perkins, Andruw Monasterio, Clayton Andrews, and Abner Uribe.
The Brewers designated outfielder Raimel Tapia for assignment in a corresponding move.
