Robert Edward Auctions said a baseball signed by Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout in 2004 sold for $15,600 on Sunday, according to Dan Hajducky of ESPN.
Trout autographed the ball after hitting a Little League homer; his uncle had kept it for two decades.
"This is an incredible relic from the earliest days of Mike Trout's legendary career," Robert Edward Auctions president Brian Dwyer said. "It's like having one of Picasso's earliest sketches - this baseball is part of Trout's origin story and is a one-of-a-kind piece of memorabilia for any Trout collector or superfan."
Trout turned into a three-time American League MVP and 10-time All-Star. The 31-year-old is already considered a lock for the Hall of Fame.
