The Seattle Mariners overcame an 8-1 deficit to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 10-9 in Game 2 of their wild-card series on Saturday and advance to the American League Division Series.

Adam Frazier laced a double down the right-field line to score the eventual game-winning run for the Mariners in the ninth inning.

Mariners left-hander Robbie Ray was chased after allowing two homers and four earned runs in three-plus innings of work. Meanwhile, Seattle struggled out of the gate against Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman, who shut the M's down for the first four innings.

The Mariners scored 10 runs in the final five frames, making easy work of Toronto's bullpen.

The sixth inning began with the Jays leading 8-1 before Toronto lifted Gausman with the bases loaded and two outs and went to left-hander Tim Mayza. Ty France scored on a wild pitch and then Carlos Santana hit a three-run homer. Shortstop J.P. Crawford tied the game in the eighth with a three-run double off Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano after George Springer and Bo Bichette collided in the outfield. Springer was injured on the play and had to be carted off.

"Baseball sucks sometimes," Blue Jays manager John Schneider said postgame, according to Sports Illustrated's Mitch Bannon. "But this team will be back in the same spot very, very soon."

Seattle's seven-run comeback is the largest in a postseason road game, as well as the largest to clinch a postseason series, according to MLB.com's Sarah Langs.

It is also tied for the second-biggest comeback win in any postseason game and marks the largest postseason comeback win in franchise history, according to Mariners PR.

The Mariners will play the Houston Astros in the ALDS. The Astros won the season series 12-7 over the Mariners, outscoring Seattle 73-65.
