Watch: Bauer chirps Astros while facing Dietrich in live at-bats
Cincinnati Reds right-hander Trevor Bauer hasn't lost his sense of humor - or his apparent dislike for the Houston Astros - while training during the coronavirus pandemic.
"Today's 'Live ABs' is brought to you by the Houston Astros, where every hitter is entitled to know exactly what pitch is coming and I'm allowed to lie and cheat my way to a championship," Bauer said Monday while facing teammate Derek Dietrich during a live bullpen session. "The Houston Astros: your home for illegitimate titles."
This isn't the first time that Bauer has ripped the Astros for stealing signs electronically during their 2017 World Series-winning season. The former All-Star tipped his own pitches in a spring training contest in early March as a direct response to the sign-stealing scandal.
Meanwhile, it appears Bauer and Dietrich could have another major leaguer joining them soon.
