Report: Severino may have tipped pitches in Game 3 of ALDS
While Luis Severino's pregame warmup was a major talking point that arose from Game 3 of the American League Division Series, there may have been a bigger problem for the New York Yankees hurler.
According to one Yankees person, Severino was tipping his pitches.
"The Red Sox had his pitches," the source told Jon Heyman of Fancred Sports.
The claim appears to be backed up by the following GIF, which showed Jackie Bradley Jr. mouthing "fastball" to Mookie Betts from Boston's bench before Severino threw one during the second inning.
.@LouMerloni just nailed it. Red Sox had a beat on what was coming as early as the second inning. JBJ says "Fastball..." to Mookie before an 0-2 pitch to Holt, Severino pumps in 98 MPH fastball that Holt fouls away. pic.twitter.com/wLGR5dVDys

Severino struggled during the outing, an eventual 16-1 loss for the Yankees. He lasted just three innings, allowing six earned runs on seven hits.
New York was eliminated from the ALDS by the Red Sox on Tuesday.
