With their 1-0 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday, the Boston Red Sox eclipsed the 100-win plateau for the fourth time in franchise history, and the first since 1946.

SEASON RECORD RESULT
1912 105-47 Won World Series (4-3-1)
1915 101-50 Won World Series (4-1)
1946 104-50 Lost World Series (4-3)

The streaking Red Sox were led by lefty David Price, who carried a perfect game into the fifth inning before a Yangervis Solarte single broke it up. Ultimately, Price worked seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits while striking out seven. From there, Steven Wright and Craig Kimbrel locked down victory No. 100.

At 100-46, the Red Sox hold a 9 1/2 game lead over the New York Yankees in the AL East while seeking their third straight division title. Boston officially clinched a postseason berth on Tuesday, and any combination of eight Red Sox wins and Yankees losses moving forward would officially clinch the division.

Additionally, Alex Cora is the first rookie skipper to manage a 100-win club since Dusty Baker in 1993 with the San Francisco Giants.
