Watch: Royals' Perez comes through for fan after promising HR

Salvador Perez kept his promise.
The Kansas City Royals catcher assured an adoring fan he'd hit a home run for him on Friday against the Cleveland Indians, and then came through in the first inning, belting a three-run shot to right-center field to give the Royals an early 3-0 lead.

Perez's homer traveled 454 feet, making it the longest by a Royal this season, besting the previous mark of 444 by Jorge Soler, according to MLB.com's Jeffrey Flanagan.
