Dead body discovered in beer cooler at SunTrust Park
Cobb County police announced Tuesday that a dead body was discovered inside a walk-in beer cooler at SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves.
Officer Sarah O'Hara told Bob Brasch of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the deceased individual, whose identity is being withheld until the family is notified, was a third-party contractor who didn't work for the Braves or the park. The body was discovered by a co-worker.
An earlier report identified the location of the body as a walk-in freezer.
No other details were released, and police said the death is now part of an ongoing investigation. O'Hara added that the Braves are cooperating.
Despite the gruesome discovery, the Braves' Tuesday home game against the Cincinnati Reds began at 7:30 p.m. ET as scheduled.
