Friday was Willson Contreras bobblehead day at Wrigley Field, so of course, the guest of honor rose to the occasion and put on a show at the plate.

Just two days after he became the first Cubs catcher in 42 years to have a two-triple game, Contreras made even more history with an epic four extra-base hit performance during the Chicago Cubs' 11-2 victory over the crosstown rival White Sox.

Contreras crushed two home runs - including a first-inning grand slam off Carson Fulmer - and added a pair of doubles while tallying a new personal-best seven RBIs. That line made him just the third catcher of the live-ball era (since 1920) to record at least four extra-base hits and seven RBIs in a single game, joining Hall of Famer Mike Piazza, who did it with the Dodgers in 1995, and the Cubs' George Mitterwald in 1974, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

Contreras is just the 24th catcher since 1908 to have a four extra-base hit game, and the first since Victor Martinez in 2010. He also fell just shy of matching the positional record of five extra-base hits by a catcher, set by Cleveland's Kelly Shoppach in 2008.

Over his last two games, the red-hot Contreras has gone an astounding 7-for-17 at the plate with three doubles, two homers, and two triples, making him the first Cubs player since 1913 to have seven extra-base hits in a two-game span, according to Stats Inc. and MLB.com's Carrie Muskat.

The 25-year-old's performance on Friday raised his season slash line to .268/.343/.488.
