Ned Yost's offseason didn't start so well.
The Kansas City Royals' manager broke his pelvis after falling from a tree stand near his property in Atlanta, the team confirmed to MLB.com's Jeffrey Flanagan.
The 62-year-old skipper was working on the tree stand before the accident occurred.
Yost is resting comfortably in hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
He's entering the final year of his contract with the Royals, who finished third in the American League Central at 80-82 last season.
