Blue Jays' Steve Pearce: Headed to DL

Pearce (calf) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Analysis:

While the MRI results on his calf haven't been released yet, they apparently revealed something relatively serious. Pitcher Leonel Campos was recalled from Triple-A to take his roster spot, though Ezequiel Carrera will likely serve as the Blue Jays' primary left fielder while Pearce is sidelined. It's not clear how long he'll be out.
