Resting Beltre plays manager from Rangers' dugout
MLB.com
After securing their second straight American League West title on Friday, a number of the Texas Rangers regulars got the day off on Saturday against the Oakland Athletics, including Adrian Beltre.
That didn't mean Beltre was going to just ride the pine and relax, though. The third baseman took it upon himself to play the role of manager and deliver some signs to his teammates during the first inning
Beltre may need to work on developing some new signs - and learn when to deliver them - if he wants to become the next Jeff Banister.
