The career of Baltimore Orioles rookie Trey Mancini is off to a scorching start.
Mancini hit the second home run of his short tenure in the bigs Thursday against the Boston Red Sox, belting a three-run blast off of David Price.
Baltimore called up Mancini on Sept. 18 and he homered in his MLB debut Sept. 20. Now he's the first player in franchise history to hit a home run in each of his first two MLB starts, according to Baseball Tonight.
The 24-year-old was selected in the eighth round of the 2013 draft and hit .282/.357/.458 with 20 home runs, 26 doubles, and 68 RBIs across two minor-league levels before his call-up.
