Yankees' Dellin Betances: Handed loss on pair of errors
Betances entered a 0-0 game in the ninth inning, and gave up a two unearned runs on a double and a pair of errors, taking his fifth loss.
Analysis:
Corey Seager started things by reaching first on an error by second baseman Starlin Castro. After Seager stole second, Betances allowed a double to Justin Turner for the first run, and later overthrew his catcher to allow Turner to score as well. While the loss was not entirely Betances' fault, it does highlight the fact that opposing baserunners are a perfect 19-for-19 against him in 2016. Betances' ERA is now 2.33.
