Nobody was happier about Coco Crisp's return to the Cleveland Indians than Spencer Crane.

After the club dealt the outfielder to the Boston Red Sox for prospects in 2006, an 11-year-old Crane sent the Indians a sincere and persuasive letter asking them to bring Crisp back as part of a school assignment:

Cleveland re-acquired Crisp from the Oakland Athletics on Aug. 30, sending minor-league pitcher Colt Hynes the other way in an exchange Crane isn't shy about taking credit for.

"When the Indians got Coco back, it rang a couple bells and when you reached out I couldn't believe you'd found this letter. Obviously I was the reason he's back," he told TribeVibe's Joel Hammond.

Next up, that front office job he so kindly asked for.
