Trade offers for Ryan Braun aren't exactly as hot as the Milwaukee Brewers hoped they would be.
The Brewers have been disappointed with current negotiations regarding a trade for Braun, going as far as to describe one offer as "terrible for a player with a 137 OPS+," reports MLB Network's Jon Heyman.
Braun is posting numbers similar to his MVP award-winning season, slashing .321/.383/.515 in 2016 compared to the .332/.397/.597 he posted in 2011. However, interest in the 32-year-old has been lukewarm at best.
A troubling history of injuries may be one reason for a quiet market for Braun, as the left fielder has been hobbled with neck and back issues this season. Braun's contract also contains a limited no-trade clause that allows him to block a trade to six teams: the Miami Marlins, Arizona Diamondbacks, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, and both the Los Angeles Dodgers and Angels.
