Report: Braun's 6 non-veto trade partners revealed

Ryan Braun has the ability to veto trades to every team in the big leagues except for six.
According to a report by FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, the hot-hitting Braun is becoming a unique trade chip for Milwaukee given his torrid start to the 2016 season, as well as the combination of his age (32), and his not-so-scary contract.
Braun's contract runs for four more years after this season, at a cost of $72 million. Coming into Saturday, the six-time all-star is batting .338/.417/.595 with five home runs.
"Braun can be traded to only five teams without his permission, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Angels, Miami Marlins, Tampa Bay Rays, and Washington Nationals," Rosenthal said.
On Sunday, Rosenthal issued an updated list of teams that Braun cannot block a trade to. The list now includes six teams: the Dodgers, Angels, Marlins, Arizona Diamondbacks, San Diego Padres, and San Francisco Giants.
He added the Angels would make the most sense, given they don't have a bona fide left-fielder, and Braun would complete a tremendous outfielding core with Mike Trout and Kole Calhoun.
| Angels LF in 2016 | G | AB | HR | AVG/OBP/SLG |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| C. Gentry | 14 | 34 | 0 | .147/.237/.176 |
| R. Ortega | 11 | 36 | 0 | .278/.333/.278 |
| D. Nava (DL) | 8 | 14 | 0 | .286/.333/.286 |
The only catch, Rosenthal says, is given the magnitude of Braun's price tag, the Brewers will likely look for a solid return, and the Angels have one of the weaker farm systems in the majors.
According to MLB Pipeline, the Angels don't have a Top 100 Prospect in 2016.
Rosenthal adds that a big question mark is whether Angels brass are willing to take a chance on someone with Braun's history, despite the fact he would help them on the diamond.
"There is the question of whether (Angels) owner Arte Moreno would approve of a deal for Braun," he said, adding, "given Braun's contract and, of course, the transgressions in his past."
