Baseball reacted to the announcement of Muhammad Ali's death at age 74 Friday with an outpouring of respect, memories, and kind words. As Friday night turned to Saturday morning across North America, many learned of the news upon waking up. Tributes continued to pour in from across the baseball world ahead of Saturday's games.

The Cubs also remembered Ali's appearance at Wrigley Field some years ago, where he helped lead the singing of "Take Me Out To The Ballgame."

In one of his many connections to baseball, Ali's third fight against Ken Norton took place at Yankee Stadium in 1976.

Miami Marlins players take inspiration from Ali before every home game.

The Milwaukee Brewers looked back to 2011, when they were graced by the presence of "The Greatest."

Players continued to mourn Ali's passing with simple yet meaningful tributes all morning.

One of the more poignant tributes came from Ali's hometown baseball team, the Triple-A Louisville Bats.
