For the first time in nearly three years, rain spoiled the party Sunday in Arlington, as the Texas Rangers' series finale against the Baltimore Orioles at Globe Life Park has been postponed.

A makeup game has been scheduled for June 20, the club announced.

Thanks to the dry Texas climate and some good luck on the road, the Rangers had gone 448 games without a rainout, the longest streak in the majors, according to John Blake, the club's executive vice president of communications. Before Sunday, the Rangers hadn't been rained out since May 29, 2013, when lousy field conditions caused by thunderstorms forced them to cancel their game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Derek Holland, who was scheduled to start for Texas, may be pushed back until Wednesday to keep left-hander Cole Hamels on his normal four days' rest, according to Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Meanwhile, Mike Wright will likely make his next start Tuesday when the Orioles open a three-game set against the Toronto Blue Jays at Camden Yards.
