Valencia forward Rodrigo will be out for approximately three months after picking up a partial tear in his posterior cruciate ligament of his left knee during a match against Atletico Madrid on Sunday, the club announced.
Rodrigo got the start for Valencia on the day, but had to come off in the 23rd minute, replaced by eventual goal-scorer Paco Alcacer.
Valencia dropped the game 2-1 at the Vicente Calderon.
Rodrigo has featured predominantly off the bench this season for Los Che, appearing in nine matches across all competitions, but failing to score or assist.
