Luis Enrique rules out loan deals for Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal
Barcelona's newest summer signings will remain at the club until they're eligible to play for the Catalans in 2016.
Manager Luis Enrique put an end to speculation regarding the immediate playing future of Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal during Barcelona's transfer embargo, saying he'd prefer that the pair train with the team rather than being sent out on loan.
"We want them to train with us in order for them to get to know the team mechanism," Enrique told Spanish publication El Mundo Deportivo, courtesy of ESPNFC.
"We have great hope placed in them. We have not considered, nor will we consider, that Turan or Vidal be loaned.
"The fact that they cannot play until January is a disadvantage but what I want is for them to be with us until then. In any case, we have a squad capable of starting the season in the best possible condition."
The FIFA-imposed transfer ban prohibits Barcelona from fielding new players until January because of its inability to follow the world governing body's rules about signing underage players.
However, the club is still allowed to sign new players - as long as they're willing to begin their Barcelona careers on the team's training ground for the rest of the year.
Vidal was the team's first summer signing after joining them from Sevilla in June, while Turan swapped the Atletico Madrid red-and-white stripes for Barcelona scarlet and blue in July.
