VIDEO: Cristiano Ronaldo scores 300th goal for Real Madrid
It seems every goal is a milestone for Cristiano Ronaldo these days.
Wednesday's tally against Rayo Vallecano was no different as the Portuguese superstar recorded his 300th goal for Real Madrid. Ronaldo only needed 288 games to achieve the feat.
The goal couldn't have come at a better time as Madrid struggled to find a breakthrough against their stubborn opponents.
Tempers were raging earlier in the match when Ronaldo was shown a harsh yellow card for what the match official perceived to be a dive by the Madrid player, even though replays showed Ronaldo should have been awarded a penalty after a challenge from the Vallecano defender.
15 minutes later, however, Ronaldo exacted revenge when he connected with Dani Carvajal's cross and thumped a header past David Cobeno.
