PHOTO: Graph puts Messi and Ronaldo's Champions League scoring record into perspective
It's just a matter of time before Raul's Champions League scoring record falls.
The only question is whether Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi will be the first to break Raul's 71 Champions League goals.
Both players sit at 68 goals before Wednesday's fixtures, and, based on Ronaldo's blistering pace, a scenario where the Portuguese superstar breaks his record against minnows Ludogorets Razgrad isn't out of the realm of possibility.
While Raul needed 142 games to reach the mark, Ronaldo could equal the Real Madrid legend with just over 100 Champions League games to his name, and Messi could easily accomplish the milestone in under 100 games as he's only needed 88 games to reach 68 European goals.
