Inigo Perez returns to Athletic Bilbao from Mallorca

Bilbao, Spain (SportsNetwork.com) - Inigo Perez has returned to parent club Athletic Club and ended his loan at Mallorca due to a stress issue, it was revealed Friday.

The 26-year-old central midfielder joined Mallorca on loan last August in a move that was set to expire in June, but instead gets cut short due to an unforeseen complication.

"Athletic have brought back Inigo Perez, who was loaned to Mallorca," Bilbao said in a statement. "The player, who will wear the number three shirt, has been affected by a case of stress. Athletic will do all within their power to help the recuperation of the player."
