Cesc Fabregas, Alvaro Morata, and Marcos Alonso aren't in La Furia Roja's plans.

Spain announced its final 23-man World Cup squad on Monday, with manager Julen Lopetegui electing to leave the Chelsea trio at home for the summer showcase. One member of the Blues did get the call, however, as Cesar Azpilicueta was named among five full-backs.

Fabregas (110), Morata (23), Alonso (1) share 134 Spain caps between them, but all three struggled this past season for Chelsea as the club finished fifth in the Premier League and failed to qualify for a Champions League spot.

Meanwhile, 34-year-old Andres Iniesta is in line to participate in his fourth World Cup despite playing his final match for Barcelona over the weekend.

GK: Kepa Revuelta (Athletic Bilbao), David de Gea (Manchester United), Pepe Reina (Napoli)

DF: Jordi Alba (Barcelona), Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea), Dani Carvajal (Real Madrid), Nacho Fernandez (Real Madrid), Nacho Monreal (Arsenal), Alvaro Odriozola (Real Sociedad), Gerard Pique (Barcelona), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid)

MF: Isco (Real Madrid), Thiago Alcantara (Bayern Munich), Sergio Busquets (Barcelona), David Silva (Manchester City), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona), Saul Niguez (Atletico Madrid), Koke (Atletico Madrid), Marco Asensio (Real Madrid)

FW: Iago Aspas (Celta Vigo), Diego Costa (Atletico Madrid), Rodrigo (Valencia), Lucas Vazquez (Real Madrid)

Spain will play its first World Cup fixture on June 15, meeting European champion and neighbour Portugal in Group B. La Roja will then compete against Iran and Morocco, respectively, as the 2010 champion hopes to better its group-stage exit at the 2014 World Cup.
