Report: PSG hopes to hurry Neymar deal with Qatar medical
Paris Saint-Germain is hoping to complete a world-record transfer for Neymar within the next 24-48 hours by getting the Brazilian superstar to conduct a medical in Qatar, according to RMC Sport's Mohamed Bouhafsi.
The Barcelona forward flew into China on Monday to attend a fashion brand event in Shanghai, and doesn't have any playing commitments with his club until a friendly against Chapecoense at the Camp Nou on Aug. 7.
PSG would prefer to push through a €222-million transfer days before that by staging a medical in Doha's Aspetar clinic. Angel Di Maria was put through his paces at former PSG medical director Dr. Hakim Chalabi's centre ahead of his move from Manchester United in August 2015.
RMC Sport previously reported that Neymar reached an agreement over a five-year contract in the French capital, but Spanish publication SPORT said a reason for a slight delay in the switch is that Neymar's father is due a €26-million bonus from Barcelona on Monday relating to his son's signing of a new contract last summer.
Despite Barcelona and La Liga threatening to complain to UEFA about Paris Saint-Germain breaching Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations with such a huge spend, and the fact that Neymar's terms tie him to the Catalonian outfit until 2021, the Santos product's transfer seems increasingly likely with each passing day.

For PSG, it's a deal that makes both commercial and playing sense, while Neymar will be able to swagger his way through defences away from the considerable shadow of Lionel Messi's brilliance. His chances of winning one of the top individual honours in the game should rise significantly.
Relations have soured between Barcelona and Neymar recently as well. Neymar was involved in a training ground altercation with new signing Nelson Semedo on Thursday, and then stormed out of the session, kicking balls and throwing his bib on his way off the field. He's also apparently informed teammates that he's decided to move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Neymar, 25, joined Barcelona from Santos in the summer of 2013, and has since installed himself as one of the most talented players on the planet. He dominates the channels with his indomitable dribbling, and pairs his goals with a keen eye for a pass. In the last two La Liga campaigns, he's tallied 12 and 11 assists, respectively.
He's shone on the international stage, too. He was instrumental as Brazil collected gold in last year's Olympic games, and helped book a quick route to the 2018 World Cup with some influential performances during CONMEBOL qualification. He's often paired with Gabriel Jesus and Philippe Coutinho in a fluid and potent strikeforce.
He could assume a position in a similarly shaped front-three at PSG. Edinson Cavani served as a spearhead in Unai Emery's attacking triumvirate in Saturday's Trophee des Champions defeat of Monaco, and was supported by Dani Alves and Javier Pastore either side of him.
