Sevilla president affirms Jovetic, Navas efforts
Sevilla president Jose Castro is rather straightforward when it comes to the club's summer shopping list.
If the candid chief executive gets his way, the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium could have a decidedly Manchester City feel to it, with Castro admitting that the club is in for Jesus Navas and Stevan Jovetic.
Days after luring Nolito to the Andalusian capital, Castro is looking to secure permanent deals for the two other former City first-teamers.

"We're waiting for a response," Castro said of discussions with Navas, courtesy of ESPN FC. "It's a pretty generous offer and we've made a significant effort. He also would like to play for Sevilla. We can't say anything more."
Navas, 31, is without a club after his four-year spell at the Etihad ended without new terms, and with Sevilla losing Vitolo to Atletico Madrid, under conspicuous circumstances no less, Los Rojiblancos could use a wide player in the mold of the 35-time capped Spain international.

Jovetic, who like Navas once swapped the continent for a move to City, is more familiar with life at Sevilla after joining La Liga's fourth-placed side on loan from Inter in January. Under Jorge Sampaoli, Jovetic bagged six league goals paired with four assists in 21 appearances, including a goal on his debut versus Real Madrid and another three days later against Los Blancos with a dramatic stoppage-time goal that ended the capital club's 40-match unbeaten run.
"We've been trying with Jovetic for a long time, but haven't reached anything complete," Castro said of the Montenegro international striker who has two years left on his current Inter contract. "It's a more open option. Jovetic is not a closed one as nothing which this club is interested in is closed."
