Turan not thinking about Barcelona exit, says agent
Arda Turan is holding out hope that he can carve out a future at Barcelona.
According to his agent Ahmet Bulut, Turan is happy in the Catalan capital despite his struggles this season to convince manager Luis Enrique he's worthy of a place in the starting XI.
Turan, who is under contract until 2020, has been linked with various moves around the world, including China. Bulut, however, insists that the Turkey international intends to fulfill his contractual duties
"Arda is going to continue at Barcelona," Bulut told Spanish outlet AS, as translated by Samuel Marsden of ESPNFC. "He is not thinking about anything else. He is really happy there."
Although Turan is not a regular fixture in the team sheet on a weekly basis, he has enjoyed his most successful season - 14 goals in all competitions - since completing a €34-million transfer from Atletico Madrid in 2015.
Bulut's comments echo Turan's sentiments in January when, after reported interest from Chinese Super League team Guangzhou Evergrande.
"I have a contract until I am 33 and I want to see out that contract here," Turan said. "I am playing in a team where the best players in the world play and I am trying to be an important part of that team. I believe I have been successful in doing that."
