Twitter releases El Clasico emoji featuring Real Madrid, Barcelona stars

Twitter is feeling El Clasico fever ahead of Sunday's fierce clash between La Liga rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona, and released a new pack of emoji Thursday featuring a number of star players from both sides.

Real Madrid's iconic badge appears alongside the #HalaMadrid hashtag, while #ForcaBarca brings up the Barcelona crest. The match itself features a half-and-half split between both team's home kits when using #ElClasico, and star players Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Gerard Pique, Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Sergio Ramos all have cartoon faces beside their hashtagged names:

El Clasico kicks off at 2:45 p.m. ET on Sunday at the Santiago Bernabeu. Barcelona will hope to rebound after being dumped out of the Champions League by Juventus, while Madrid will look to build on its lead in the Spanish table.

Real Madrid currently sits three points ahead of Barcelona in La Liga with a game in hand on its Catalan rival.
