Atletico Madrid announced Wednesday the club has signed goalkeeper Miguel Moya to a contract extension that will see him remain with the team until 2018.
"I am happy because I am where I want to be," Moya told the club's official website.
The 32-year-old, who joined Atletico in the summer of 2014 from Getafe, has been reduced to a substitute role in Diego Simeone's side, playing second fiddle to natural starter Jan Oblak.
Still, Moya's contributions to the club have seen him start between the posts in the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid, where he helped Atletico defeat its crosstown rival to claim the trophy in 2014.
