Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti said Mexico star Hirving Lozano is among the players his club is monitoring "very closely" as the winter transfer window enters its final days, ESPN FC's Ben Gladwell reported.

Villarreal midfielder Pablo Fornals is another player on Napoli's radar, according to Ancelotti.

The 23-year-old Lozano has scored 11 goals in 18 games for Dutch side PSV Eindhoven this season. The forward also scored the lone goal in Mexico's upset victory over 2014 winners Germany at the World Cup in Russia last summer.

Fornals, 22, has been a staple in Villarreal's first team, as the attacking midfielder has started 19 of the Spanish side's 20 matches this season.

Meanwhile, Ancelotti put an end to speculation over Allan's future in Naples by insisting the Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain target won't be leaving this month.

"Allan's not been called up because he's had a testing week," Ancelotti said.

"We're going to keep him here to train and prepare himself for our game in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday.

"The only thing I know is that he's staying, fortunately, no more than that. He's an important player for us and he always will be. It's always been very clear with regard to Allan - we don't need to sell him."

Napoli sit nine points back of leaders Juventus and will take on AC Milan at the San Siro on Saturday.
