Plagued by a broken ankle that will rule him out for the remainder of the Premier League season and this summer's Euros, England's Jack Butland took to Twitter on Wednesday to confirm that the surgery was a success.

Proving that he's not only a great 'keeper, but also a better person, Butland reached out to fellow shot-stopper Rob Elliot, who was injured during Ireland's draw with Slovakia on Wednesday.
With Elliot poised to join his colleague Butland on the sidelines for Euro 2016, the Stoke City player offered the Newcastle netminder a place to watch the matches come June.
mate, gutted for you and wish you a solid recovery! you can come round mine and we can watch the euros together! head up mate! @the_dilsh 🙏🏼
