Report: Chelsea's Loic Remy considering €20M China move
Loic Remy could be the latest player to benefit from the Chinese Super League's vast wealth.
The Chelsea misfit's rumoured moves to Newcastle United and Aston Villa failed to materialise during the January transfer window, but according to the Guardian, he is now the subject of €20-million (£15.48-million) bids from Shanghai Shenhua and an unnamed club.
"Loic Remy has received in recent hours a superior proposal from another Chinese club, which this time may grab his attention," a report from French website Le10 Sport reads.
Hebei China Fortune, who recently acquired former Chelsea midfielder Gael Kakuta and ex-Arsenal striker Gervinho, are thought by some to be the other team in the frame for Remy's signature.
Shanghai Shenhua also boasts a Blues connection in forward Demba Ba, and other famous names in Fredy Guarin and Tim Cahill.
Remy is again unlikely to be handed the opportunity to add to his one league start in Saturday's visit of former club Newcastle United.
