Remy Cabella joins Marseille from Newcastle on loan with purchase option

Newcastle United midfielder Remy Cabella has joined Ligue 1 outfit Marseille on a one-year loan, with a purchase option at the end of the season, the French club announced Wednesday.

Cabella joins Marseille after a two-way deal saw Marseille send winger Florian Thauvin the other way to Newcastle. Cabella made 31 appearances last season for the Magpies, scoring one goal.
