Inspired by Jack Warner, This Week Tonight purchases time on Trinidad television
John Oliver will appear on television sets throughout Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday night.
Viewers tuning in to watch Mike and Molly will have to wait for their show to begin after the host of HBO's Last Week Tonight comedy show announced Sunday night that the network has purchased five minutes of airtime on Trinidad's Channel 6.
In response to disgraced former FIFA vice-president Jack Warner's appearance in an 10-minute clip entitled "The gloves are off", the British comedian only needs half the amount of time when he appears in his own public message called "John Oliver: The mittens of disapproval are on".
While it's unclear exactly what will be covered during the five-minute block, chances are it won't be as ridiculous as some of Warner's appearances over the past two weeks since being indicted on corruption charges.
