A man was arrested and transported to a psychiatric hospital after he broke into Neymar's property during the early hours of Sunday morning, sources told ESPN's Julien Laurens.

The trespasser was reportedly carrying a backpack full of Bibles and later told police he wanted to meet the Paris Saint-Germain attacker to give him the "word of God." The 26-year-old was only a few meters away from the main door of Neymar's property in the suburbs of western Paris before he was chased away by the security team.

The man was eventually arrested in the nearby town of Bougival. It's understood he was unarmed, didn't want to steal anything, and simply wanted to discuss religion with Neymar.

Though the unwanted visit seems rather innocent, it is the latest of an alarming spate of intrusions at the homes of PSG footballers. Mauro Icardi, Sergio Rico, Marquinhos, and Angel Di Maria have all been targeted recently. Di Maria was ultimately substituted during a match in mid-March after club officials learned thieves took watches and jewelry from a safe in the winger's home for an estimated loss of more than €500,000.

PSG have decided to cover the costs of security for their players' properties, according to Laurens.
