Report: PSG willing to pony up more than £40M for Alexis Sanchez
Paris Saint-Germain is ready to fork over more than £40 million to pry Alexis Sanchez out of Arsenal and pay him more than £250,000 per week, sources tell Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports.
Sanchez has 12 months left on his contract with Arsenal and is reportedly willing to lower his wage demands to force a move to Manchester City, keen as he is to reunite with Pep Guardiola.
But PSG is ready to splash the cash to sign the Chile international, though the Gunners have yet to receive an offer from the Ligue 1 giant. Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger remains steadfast in his desire to keep Sanchez at the Emirates.
Wenger even reckons PSG is going after the signature of Neymar because the French outfit knows Sanchez is not for sale.
He told reporters, as quoted by Sky's Lyall Thomas: "Has (Sanchez) asked to leave? No. PSG can't get Sanchez, so they are going for Neymar.
"My mind has been made up for a while now. I think I've made it clear a few times that this is my stance."
