Swansea City in talks with Aston Villa over Scott Sinclair return
Swansea City's new head coach Francesco Guidolin wants to bring an old face back to the Liberty Stadium, with the club entering talks with Aston Villa over the possible purchase of Scott Sinclair, according to Sky Sports' Paul Vinnell.
The Swans are reportedly interested in a return for Liverpool's Joe Allen, too, but it is unlikely that his club will allow him to leave on loan. A move for Sinclair, who left South Wales in 2012, seems much more likely, however.
The 26-year-old only joined Aston Villa on a permanent basis from Manchester City last summer, but has struggled to recreate his decent form earlier in the campaign under Remi Garde, who took over from Tim Sherwood in November. The French gaffer would also not be drawn into talking on Sinclair's situation during Friday's media conference.
Swansea travels north to take on Everton on Sunday, looking to make it back-to-back wins after overcoming Watford by a 1-0 scoreline last Monday.
