Liverpool's Milner could miss 2 weeks with calf injury, says Klopp
Liverpool could be without versatile midfielder James Milner for the duration of the Premier League's congested festive period.
Manager Jurgen Klopp, speaking on Thursday ahead of the Reds' Boxing Day meeting with league leader Leicester City, said that Milner is dealing with a calf ailment that will keep him sidelined for an undetermined amount of time.
"(Milner has) no chance (to play versus Leicester). Millie has a calf injury and nobody knows where it came from, it was not in a game," Klopp said. "Now we have to wait. One or two weeks, I don’t know exactly. That is not too good for us, either."
Milner, 29, has started 15 of the club's 17 league matches on the campaign, playing in a variety of midfield positions - something he has been lauded for throughout his career.
