Chelsea's Terry injures ankle vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv; could miss Spurs match
Chelsea defender John Terry suffered an ankle injury in Tuesday's 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv, according to manager Jose Mourinho.
The Blues skipper was stretchered off with just under 20 minutes remaining in the match, and it was unclear at the time the exact nature of his ailment.
The club announced postgame Terry is dealing with an ankle problem caused by the poor turf at the Sammy Ofer Stadium in Israel.
Jose reports Ramires was injured in training yesterday and JT now has an ankle injury, both he thinks caused by the bad pitch. #CFC

"The result was 1-0 when John left the pitch, so for John to leave the pitch with the score at 1-0, I know already that he's in trouble," manager Jose Mourinho told reporters. "My medical department is really good. John is a special guy with a special desire to recover. But to leave the pitch with the result 1-0, I don't believe too much that he can play.”
Jose says for Terry to leave the pitch with the score just 1-0 means he expects the injury is too bad for him to play at Spurs. #CFC

The grass was so bad that Mourinho entered the field in order to fix it in the first half, too.
