Wigan's Grant Holt joins Wolves on emergency loan

Wigan Athletic striker Grant Holt has joined Championship side Wolverhampton on an emergency loan until Jan. 2, the Latics announced on their website Friday.
Too long in the tooth to recapture the form that saw him a Canary darling with Norwich City in 2011-12, the 34-year-old attacker moved to Wigan in 2013 and has since been loaned to Aston Villa and Huddersfield Town.
"We are delighted to bring Grant to the club," said head coach Kenny Jackett.
"He has played in the Premier League and also at this level in the Championship and has done well."
Holt becomes the Wolves' second emergency loan acquisition following Newcastle centre-back Mike Williamson's move to the club Thursday.
