FA Cup trophy replica believed to be valued at more than £1 million

British television program "Antiques Roadshow" have claimed that they are in possession of their most valued item in the show's 38-year history and it may very well be a replica of the famed FA Cup trophy.

While mystery surrounds the story, show producers have described the item as "a world famous piece owned by a sporting institution," that was discovered on location in North Yorkshire.

"An item seen at the Antiques Roadshow in Harrogate is the highest valued object ever to appear on the show in its 38-year history," a spokesman for the show told the BBC.

The item, which producers refuse to speculate on until the show airs in April, has been valued at £1 million, and at least one British rag is surmising that the piece in question is a replica of the original FA Cup trophy - fabricated in 1871 - which was stolen and melted down to make counterfeit coins.

"The final valuation given will be revealed when the programme airs in spring 2016," a spokesman told the BBC.
