Toronto police issue arrest warrant for Chelsea loanee Lucas Piazon

Toronto police issued arrest warrants Wednesday for two members of the Brazilian men's football side that competed at this summer's Pan Am Games as part of a sexual assault investigation.

The two men are Andrey Da Silva Ventura, 22, who plays for Botafogo in Brazil, and Lucas Piazon, 21, who has been with Chelsea since 2012 and is currently at Championship side Reading on loan.

Police claim that the assault occurred between Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26 after a 20-year-old victim and her friend met the two footballers at a downtown club, according to CTV News.

The pair accompanied the women to their residence, where an alleged sexual assault took place while the victim was sleeping, according to police.

Ventura and Piazon were in Toronto for the games that took place between July 10 and 26, with the two returning to Brazil on July 27.

The Sao Paulo-born Piazon has been a fringe youth player rife with potential at Stamford Bridge, and has spent the last three seasons on loan with Malaga, Vitesse Arnhem, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Reading.
