Bournemouth's Artur Boruc urges teammates to knuckle down
Bournemouth goalkeeper Artur Boruc said if the team is to stay in the Premier League, the players need to up their efforts at the training ground.
The Cherries have begun to slide down the table after consecutive 5-1 defeats to Manchester City and Tottenham, and the Polish shot stopper had a woeful outing in the latter, appearing to be at fault for three of the goals.
Boruc denies he's more to blame that some of his colleagues though.
"Some people say that, but that isn't how it is," the former Celtic man said to Dominic Fifield of the Guardian.
"Talking is not going to do any good to me just now. As a football club we need to take our arses back to the training ground and work hard on some of the things we need to do. I will get down to the training ground and try and prove myself - I have nothing more to say."
Bournemouth has been compounded with several costly, long-term injuries, as manager Eddie Howe takes his depleted ranks to nearby Southampton next Sunday.
