Report: Gokhan Inler on verge of £5-million Leicester City move
Leicester City has seen off some stiff competition in the capture of Swiss captain Gokhan Inler.
Schalke and Besiktas were also in the frame for the midfielder, but reports suggest Inler, who has been at Napoli since 2011, was convinced of a move to the Premier League by new Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri.
The Italian had been on the lookout for a midfielder since Esteban Cambiasso refused the opportunity to extend his deal at Leicester, instead opting for Champions League football with Olympiacos.
The 31-year-old Inler would bring experience and physicality to the Foxes' midfield that was left lacking after Cambiasso's departure.
Inler is not expected to sign in time for Leicester's away game at West Ham on Saturday, but could be officially unveiled in the coming days.
