Report: Chelsea's £25-million bid for Baba Rahman rejected by Augsburg

If Chelsea wants to secure the signing of Augsburg left-back Baba Rahman, owner Roman Abramovich will have to reach a little deeper into his pocket.
The German club has rejected a £25-million bid for the 21-year-old Ghanaian defender, in the hopes of procuring something closer to £30 million for his services, reports Ed Aarons of the Guardian.
Aarons explains:
With Rahman already having agreed personal terms for his move to the Premier League champions, Augsburg have insisted that Chelsea must meet their valuation of the player who only joined last summer from Greuther Furth.
So far, Chelsea have refused to budge but with a lack of defensive reinforcements available to Mourinho, it is anticipated that a compromise may be found.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is in the market for another left-back following the sale of Filipe Luis to Atletico Madrid earlier in the summer.
