Report: Tottenham looking at Stuttgart forward Timo Werner
Tottenham is sniffing around the German Bundesliga for talent, it seems, as the London-based club is reportedly interested in picking up Stuttgart's teenage star striker, Timo Werner, according to the Telegraph's Matt Law.
Tottenham is reportedly set to open talks with Stuttgart over a potential signing, with the German club asking for around £8-million for the 19-year-old.
Werner made 19 appearances last season for Stuttgart, scoring three goals. He's a German youth international, earning caps at the under-19 level. While he's a longer-term prospect, he'd help shore up Tottenham's forward line, which that could soon see the departures of both Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor.
He's not the only German footballer Tottenham is interested in, as the English side is also looking at signing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Sven Bender.
